Jefferson Kaye
Jefferson Kaye blazed into Buffalo in the mid-60's (after a shaky first night start) as KB's nighttime teeny-bopper leader of "The Teenage Underground" and soon was at the rudder of the K-Big giant ship as the station's program director. Kaye was also was responsible for bringing telephone operators, police dispatch centers, fire departments, civil defense agencies and yes, even the Canadian armed forces to their collective knees with his 1968 adaptation of Orson Wells' "War of the Worlds." Folks were calling from all over the eastern seaboard to see if Grand Island was indeed under Martian control. Kaye's decades worth of work as the radio producer for Buffalo Bills Football set him up for a job at NFL Films, which he held when he left Buffalo, voicing countless NFL video compilations.

1965
Kaye produced an audio tape in conjunction with his "pitch book" as he was testing the waters of the radio market. The reel to reel tape was converted to a digital format and is now proudly presented here. This audio has not been heard in over 40 years! In the booklet, Kaye details his experience at several radio stations and especially when he was a personality at Boston's WBZ-AM radio.

Personal letter to a friend
about the War of The Worlds
Jeff Kaye was the driving force behind the later years of success at WKBW Radio. Much of this success was attributed to Kaye's no-nonsense management style. Here is a great chance to look "inside" WKBW Radio.
